Benjamin Moore Partners With National Trust for Historic Preservation to Celebrate Women’s Heritage

Benjamin Moore is marking the centennial of women’s suffrage in an important way, by helping to restore sites related to women’s history. “It is a privilege to be able to honor the 100th anniversary of the women’s suffrage movement and the ratification of the 19th amendment by preserving several historic sites with significant roots in women’s history,” Jeannie West, Benjamin Moore’s senior vice president of human resources, said in a statement. “Together with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, we’ll pay homage to these female trailblazers who helped shape us into the nation we are today.”

Katherine Malone-France, chief preservation officer at the National Trust for Historic Preservation, added: “This campaign focused on the contributions women have made to our nation’s heritage is part of the National Trust’s mission to preserve historic places that tell the full American story.”

West Elm and Eileen Fisher Make Green Strides

Eileen Fisher has emerged as a leader in the sustainable fashion movement, through initiatives such as its Renew program, which accepts worn clothing back from its customers so the textiles can be reused. Now, that forward-thinking ethos is entering the home space, thanks to a partnership with West Elm. Upcycled Eileen Fisher denim forms the basis of the collection of pillows and casual seating, representing a small step forward in the zero-waste movement.
